Analysis Paralysis

Making a career change can feel incredibly daunting, and it's no surprise that many people hesitate to take the leap. The fear of the unknown can make it all seem too hard and risky, leaving us wondering if it's truly worth it. Staying where you are might seem like the easier option, but if it's not where your heart truly belongs, your long-term happiness suffers.

I can personally relate to those doubts. I often questioned whether the effort was worth the reward. But here's the thing: I recently stumbled upon a concept that completely resonated with my own career transition journey.

A career change is not a revolution; it's more of an evolution. You don't have to upend your life in one giant leap by quitting your current job. In fact, I strongly encourage you not to do that, especially if you're unsure of your destination. Instead, it's about taking a series of small, deliberate steps in the direction you want to go.

These steps can be as small as making a list of what values you want to see show up in your life and career, or doing your own research to understand what skills you might need to acquire. Each bit of information you gather provides more clarity about your path. And with every newfound understanding, you gain a bit more confidence to take another step and make another decision.

We often get trapped in overthinking, but the truth is, you can't think your way into a career transition. You must take action. Action is what propels you forward, building the momentum that keeps you moving towards your goal.

So don't get stuck in a cycle of analysis paralysis. Embrace the idea of evolving toward your new career, one step at a time. It's amazing how these small actions can add up to something truly life changing.
